Ongoing Support Contract
Advancing Opportunities understands the challenges teachers face as more and more students with disabilities are brought back into district. In an effort to increase a school district’s capacity for serving these students we have created an ongoing support contract. In addition to offering schools access to assistive technology professionals throughout the school year, the ongoing support contact eliminates the need for requesting and waiting for an approval for each individual evaluation that is needed.
Under the ongoing support contract, our consultants will visit your district on a regular basis to meet with teachers and child study teams, as well as work with students on technology solutions to enable them to achieve educational success. We will also train school personnel to be more proficient in applying assistive technology in the classroom. Find out what a district that uses the ongoing support contract has to say.

FAQ
How many students can be seen under this contract?
The contract is not limited to a specific number of students. The ongoing support contract is measured by the number of hours of service provided.
Can formal assistive technology evaluations be done under this contract?
Yes, we can do formal evaluations under the contract. But we find the contract reduces the number of formal evaluations needed because school personnel are able to trial products and software with support from our staff.
Where are services provided?
Our Assistive Technology professionals are mobile and can travel to wherever the student is. Appointments can take place in the student’s school, at an out-of-district placement, or even at the student’s home. We are also able to provide support through web conferencing.
What is web conferencing?
Not all services need to be provided in person. In order to save schools money on travel, we provide interactive support with new web technologies. Using tools such as Skype or GoToMeeting we are able to perform demonstrations and conduct team meetings remotely.
What is the technology lending center and how long can we borrow equipment?
The Technology Lending Center at Advancing Opportunities offers access to the most comprehensive lending library in the state where you would be able to try out equipment prior to purchasing. Equipment may be borrowed for up to six weeks; then a request for an extension of the loan can be made if necessary.
What are the costs for a district without an ongoing support contract?
Our service hours are charged at $110/hour and travel hours are typically $55/hour.
With an ongoing support contract, districts are given a 20% discount. What are the costs then?
With the contract, service hours are lowered to $90/hour and travel hours are $45/hour.
