Learning for Life Workshop Series
Using the Technology You Already Have
Look around your classroom: Are you using the technology you currently have to engage your students? Most classrooms will have at least one computer and many have a TV as well. This session will focus on creative ways to utilize the features of your existing technology.
Learn about some very useful features of common software packages, such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.), that can help your students improve their reading and writing skills. We will also explore the accessibility options built into the Windows operating system that allow you to customize the functionality and appearance of the computer to meet each student's unique needs.
Participants will receive resources, both Web pages and shareware software programs, that can be used to accommodate various learning styles.
