Jeannette Van Houten, M.Ed, ATP
Special Education Teacher Consultant

Jeannette has her masters in curriculum and technology and has been an Assistive Technology Specialist with Advancing Opportunities since 2001. As such, she provides technology training for special education teachers, on-site technology in-services at schools throughout the state, and technology assistance to students in special education programs. Jeannette previously worked as a severe multiply handicapped teacher at a private school for children with developmental disabilities were she used assistive technology to adapt and implement the core curriculum to the students learning ability which enabled them to remain as independent as possible in school, self-care, and leisure.
