Paul Daye

Assistive Technology Specialist

Paul has extensive experience using assistive technology both personally and professionally.  Paul’s career has primarily focused on advocating on behalf of and coordinating programs and services for diverse individuals with all types of disabilities.  As an Independent Living Specialist for a large independent living center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for two years, Paul developed and implemented a curriculum to teach young adults with disabilities important activities of daily living, specifically in the areas of communication, socialization, financial planning, and employment.  Additionally, Paul conducted presentations at area colleges to graduate-level students going into the special education field about assistive technology available to individuals who are blind or visually impaired. 

Prior to joining Advancing Opportunities in February 2015, Paul served as the Partners in Policy-Making Coordinator (PIP) at the New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities (NJCDD) where he administered a program that emphasized the importance of systemic and policy advocacy in order to effect change for individuals with developmental disabilities.  Paul earned a B.A. in Political Science from Arcadia University in May 2004.
